Rabbi Turk was a student of Torah V’Daat and talmid of Rabbi S Heiman. Some further details he wrote two volumes Kerem Tzvi and Pri Malcha – one can be found on http://www.hebrewbooks.org/ in addition to the photos posted here.
As I mentioned his brother-in-law was Rabbi Dr Meyer Karlin the Moskva Illui they were married to sisters. They were the daughters of Rabbi Chaim Moshe Friedman of Meridian CT, he was the shochet there and is listed in the Chacmai New England book (also see the cover page notation in this post). I think Rabbi Karlin was Yeshiva College 1937 and there famous story of his smeicha bechina in the Rav Rakeffet’s (Rothkof) Revel book. He was my mother’s childhood Rabbi and she remembers him as a wonderful man. His PHD was is math.
