Prior to his coming to the US around 1904 he served as the Rabbi in the town of Yashun in the Vilna area.

Rav Aishsishkin served in particular the Magen Avrohom Shul in Detroit untill his retirement in 1933, he was also very instrumental in the Mizrachi movemnet in the US, the exact day of his passing was 5 Elul 5695-1935 at the age of 96.

A photo of Rav Aishiskin, among other Detroit Rabbis:

I just spoke with a Frank Aishiskin who lives in Detroit; he is Rabbi Aishiskin’s grandson. He is buried here:
    Beth David Cemetery
9535 Van Dyke at St. Cyril
I was able to track it down through this website:
I will attempt to get a photo as well.
A gut yohr to all! Looking to meet all at the first Weekend Getaway!

I a photo with the following description:
“Mr. Ussischkin [i.e., Ussishkin] with Vienese [?] Scroll & other ancient scrolls awaiting the arrival of Rabbi Ben Zion Meir Hai Uziel, for his enthronement as Chief Rabbi of the Separdic [i.e., Sephardic] Community”

Would this possibly be Rabbi Aishskin?

I take care of the B’nai David Cemetery located at 9535 Van Dyke in Detroit. It is a gated cemetery so if you’d like to come take a look, send me an email, text or call 248-686-9801, and I’ll arrange to open the gate. In addition to Rabbi Aishishkin, his wife is also buried at B’nai David.
