    אביו ר’ יהושע העשל, היה בן ר’ אברהם אלחנן אונגר
    מקאלושין, ב”ר מרדכי דוד מדומברווא.

    ר’ אברהם אלחנן היה חתן ר’ חיים מאיר יחיאל ממוגליניצא בן ר’ אבי עזרא חתן המגיד מקוזניץ.
    ר’ חיים מאיר יחיאל היה חתן ר’ אלעזר בן הר”ר אלימלך מליזענסק.

    אביו, ר’ יהושע העשל היה חתן ר’ צבי פרנקל תאומים מפרימישלאן בן ר’ דוד פרנקל חתן בעל הדגל מחנה אפרים נכד הבעש”ט.
    ר’ צבי פרנקל תאומים, היה חתן ר’ מאיר מפרימישלאן.
