Rabbi Weinberger was also for a time Rabbi in Scranton PA, the first speech in his sefer ‘Darash Darash Moshe’ (New York, 1914) was delivered upon his arrival to scranton in 1891.

My great great grandmother was married to a Weinberger from Hungary. I always heard about the Streits Mazoh being started by the Rabbi. My mother was blessed by him as a child. I would like to know my relation with him and was wondering if anyone has a family tree. I think my g-g-grandfather could be brother/cousin of the Rabbi. Would appreciate the help. Thanks

Just found a source that Rabbi Weinberger had a Son-In-law “Dr. A. Rappaport” anyone with more information?
To YD Miller- Dr. Armin Rappaport was married to the Rabbi’s daughter Yetta. He passed away in 1926.
One of his daughters married Joseph lichtenthal. He is my great granduncle on my fathers side. He even worked for a while making matzah. (His niece is my grandmother on my fathers side and my father was named after his brother Benjamin lichtenthal. ). So you and I are cousins. Any chance you are from the lichtenthal branch or know some of those cousins? I have our tree on ancestry.com but also am on family tree

Alice- Just read your comment. Rabbi Weinberger’s daughter Rose married Joseph Lichtenthal. They had two sons: Benjamin 1917-1992 who married Faith Labens and then married second wife Nancy. Son Bertram 1919-1995 married Barbara Sternlicht. Their children were Joseph David 1953 and Susan 1963 who married Jay MacDonald. That is all the information I have.
