Rav Krieger z”l was the predecessor of Rav Yosef Dov Soloveitchik z”l in Boston.
Several months ago, a descendant of Rav Krieger z”l sent me the following copies of obituaries that appeared in different Boston newspapers shortly after the petira:
Der Tog – January 10, 1931
https://picasaweb.google.com/108906786730490821956/ArticlesOnRabbanim#5612249290160202210
Der Tog – January 11, 1931 (a bit of the article got cut off)

Boston Jewish Advocate – January 13, 1931, p1
https://picasaweb.google.com/108906786730490821956/ArticlesOnRabbanim#5612249305138631522
The following obituary appeared on Hapardes v4 #11 pp 4-5
https://picasaweb.google.com/108906786730490821956/ArticlesOnRabbanim#5612591003849130930
https://picasaweb.google.com/108906786730490821956/ArticlesOnRabbanim#5612591008040100386
One can discern from this last obituary and from the following article in Degel Yisroel:
http://www.hebrewbooks.org/pdfpager.aspx?sits=1&req=12237&st=%u05D0%u05D1%u05E8%u05D4%u05DD%20%u05D0%u05D1%u05D0%20%u05E7%u05E8%u05D9%u05D2%u05E2%u05E8
that in R. Krieger’s final years he joined the Degel HaRabbanim and wasn’t on the best terms with the Agudas HaRabbanim. It should be noted that Rav Yehuda Heschel Levenberg z”l, Rosh Yeshiva in New Haven, CT, did deliver a hesped at the levaya (see Der Tog Jan. 11 above and compare with the HaPardes obituary).
Before coming to the US Rav Krieger was rav in Kashedor in Russia, his father was Reb Chaim Zev rav of Spishak.
Some of his seforim were still printed before he came here in 1924.

michael how are you related to Rabbi Goldberg the Rabbis son in law
I am the daughter of Ram Abba, who was the great grandchild of the Rabbi. My father was named after him- Ram Abba and my grandmother Raanana grew with him as his child. That is because her mother Abigail left.
I will be happy to recieve any peice of information.
Another descendent here.
RYAAK was a ben bayis at R’ Meir Simchah haKohein who according to my grandfather a”h’s (his son’s) recollection lived there most of his adolescence. Calling him a talmid for 2 years doesn’t fit. I don’t think it fits R’ Goldberg’s bio either.

Today, the 19th of Teves, is the Rav’s Yarhtzeit. Does anyone know who has the unpublished manuscripts of the Rav? An effort should be made to locate & publish them. Acc. to the introduction of his sefer Taanugei Yisroel (written by his son-in-law), the Rov left many pages of chiddushei Torah that have not yet been published.
